I was operated upon my left knee by Dr. Hrishikesh Patkar at Chellaram Hospital, Bavdhan, Pune on 27th June ,22.A week before the operation, I had consulted him and looking to knee x-ray he opined that TKR procedure was necessary for total relief from the severe pain I was undergoing. Accordingly, the operation procedure was scheduled and performed. Since it has been ten weeks now and I have started enjoying my routine life without any pain--- I walk, ascend and descend steps and drive vehicles to drop at and pick up my grand- daughters from school. 3 years ago my grandmother was suffering from severe osteoarthritis of both knees. She could barely walk. We consulted many surgeons and everyone advised a surgical procedure for her.
